Watchers

Saturdays are my longest day 'cause I work all day, then game all night, only to work the next day. So I come home after falling asleep at the session (my own fault for only getting 3 hours of sleep the night before) . . . and I hear this dripping/watery noise. It first dawns on me that it's not right and then I drop my stuff on the ground only to see TWO leaks from my ceiling. The ceiling over my washer/dryer area is in shambles, with plaster and bits of CEILING on the floor. It's also where I store my extra blankets and boxes (I like to pack things back up in their original packaging), all of which are a soggy mess. It's 2 am and I just want sleeep.

And it wasn't until like 3-4ish that they could get a hold of a maintenance guy. I lightly and worriedly dozed while waiting for a return call, as I noticed the rate of which the main leak was filling up my bowl was far too fast. And we couldn't get in contact of the person above me in case it was leaking from their washer/dryer. So the scenario: awake for 20 hours on 3 hours of sleep, waiting for someone else to come try to fix it in the dead of night. Also, slightly paranoid about water + my possessions. It's pretty ridiculous because while the leak was impressively large and constant, it's not likely to FLOOD the apartment. But I own like 700+ manga, various artbooks, paperbacks, graphic novels, etc. I mean, srsly. Water OR Fire are not my friends. :<

I tried to keep waking up to call into work that my apartment is leaking and flooding my kitchen area. Only I finally fell asleep and woke up to the manager calling asking where I was. So I couldn't even call in early all nice and proper. The maintenance guy stopped by, but now we're waiting on the plumber . . . who is apparently like 1-2 hours away in a different city. o_@;;; So still waiting (occasionally bailing water out of the various buckets left behind). Decided to see if I can salvage any boxes, so I open up my porch area so I can have them sun dry . . . only a wasp flies in.

Honestly, at this point, after some obvious expletives of surprise, I nix the vacuum idea and spray the guy with wasp spray. The plumber arrived noonish and I've got crazy pictures of how large a hole he had to rip into the ceiling to fix it.

Maybe now I understand why my water bill seemed kinda high for a one person unit. Today has NOT BEEN MY DAY. D:<

Roflmfao. Man, I've got pearler beads if you wanna do the beading version. Of course cool cross-stitch versions are pretty kick-ass, too. A coworker of mine found a pattern for cross-stitch 8-bit Link . . . I can't waiiiiiit. *____*

I think I might lure her into doing stuff like that for sale at cons. Which people would friggin' eat up like candy. Sweet, sweet rare candy. Ahahaha.

No, thank you so much for trading with me! I'm sad I didn't get your autograph for the print trade, I forgot to ask. XD;;; Glad you enjoyed the con. I loves your arts very much (and I hope a lot of the con goers agree with that...mainly with their money, lol).

Cool beans, I need to ask you about that. Did you want a digital version or a traditional medium? Now I've got all the times in the world. XD

Also, I have to pass on the word. Since you're a fellow Digimon lover as well, the group of us are going to have a Digimarathon of the first couple of seasons. XD Gotta spread the Digimon love! XD
